Huge drops, wide gaps, gnarly descents. Spank's Spike parts are made for the toughest downhill and freeride applications. To suit the extreme requirements, Spank took the wishes and needs of real world riders and racers into account.

The rear wheel comes with strong but lightweight Spike Race 33 rim featuring the innovative OohBah™ profile and BeadNip™ technology. The rim is made of the exclusive Dynamal aluminum alloy. A total width of 33mm, combined with an inner width of 28mm provides a proper platform for wide tires to play out all their advantages.

The Spank HEX hub features oversized bearings for optimal adaptability and an advanced seal system for easy maintenance. The gravity inspired rear hub is made of CNC machined aluminum.

The rear wheel is prepared to be used with a 12x148mm Boost thru axle.

Oohbah™

Spank's unique patented Oohbah profile with inverted tube well increases rigidity immensely compared to other rims currently available. Additionally Oohbah™ allows to optimize the design and drastically reduce weight to offer the toughest performance hoops in their price to weight ratio.

BeadBite™

BeadBite creates more contact between sealing rim and tire bead, so that no air can escape, no matter how much the tire moves. It also ensures that the tire is firmly anchored to the sealing rim and do not slip anymore.

Dynamal

Dynamal is a dynamically aged, complex and highly magnesium-silicon-copper enriched alloy. Compared to conventional alloy types, it shows significantly increased tensile strength and yield, without compromising fatigue life. Dynamal offers unmatched rigidity and resistance to permanent deformation.
