Shimano BR-RS811-R Rim Brake Caliper - Direct Mount - RW - black

The Shimano BR-RS811-R side-pull brake impresses with a well-balanced ratio between braking power, stiffness and low weight. The Direct Mount brake caliper owes this not least to the effective SLR-EV technology. Despite increased 28C tyre clearance, the rim brake for installation under the bottom bracket features a decidedly slim and flat design.

SLR-EV

The SLR-EV technology extends the Shimano Linear Response concept which aims for improved response and optimal dosing.

Symmetrical Dual Pivot side-pull brakes with SLR-EV system use two bearings and a roller to achieve greater efficiency in the joint area. However, SLR-EV also has a positive effect on the modulation of Direct Mount calipers, so that current models can boast a 36 % increase in braking force.
