Cable locks are popular because of their high flexibility. The ABUS Steel-O-Flex™ Iven 8200 is similarly flexible, but offers more protection. This is made possible by innovative Steel-O-Flex™ technology: The steel cable is covered by 25 mm thick, overlapping and specially hardened steel sleeves. On the very outside, a synthetic fibre coating protects the bike from damage to the paintwork when unlocking and unlocking the lock.

The lock body is also a frequent target of theft attacks. The Soft Case Technology of the Steel-O-Flex™ Iven 8200 makes the lock particularly impact-resistant. It protects the ABUS locking cylinder installed in it, which is characterised by high resistance to manipulation attempts.
