UV absorbers integrated directly into the raw material filter out 100% of UV radiation up to 400 nm, which is harmful to the retina. Thus, all lenses offer full UVA, UVB and UVC protection - the basis for the company name: uv-ex = ultraviolet excluded.

The windshield (except mirrored models) is thus protected from unwanted scratches and scuffs.
