The Maxxis Forekaster was originally designed as a bad weather tire for Cross Country, while the revised version has been specifically optimized for use in the short-travel Trail Bike or Down Country segment. The new variant is significantly faster than its predecessor and offers solid cornering and braking traction, whatever the trail conditions.

It connects and closes the gap between fast rolling XC tires and rough Downhill profiles. Maxxis envisions the new Forekaster as the perfect companion for long rides in a variety of terrains. If the Rekon is not enough, but a Minion too much, take the Forekaster!

3C MaxxTerra | The right 3-component compound for Enduro and Freeride tires. Smooth uphill, as well as best adhesion downhill characterize this compound as well as a long life.

EXO+ Protection | The structure of the new EXO+ is fundamentally different from the previous. The new construction consists of a 60 TPI carcass which is coated with a new abrasion-resistant rubber. In the sidewalls is rubberized EXO puncture protection layer and above the bead was incorporated a narrow butyl insert. Tires with EXO+ Protection are designed for aggressive trail riding and enduro racing.

ECE-R75 (E-50) | With the ECE-R75 test mark tires are approved for bikes up to 50 km / h.

Tubeless Ready | Tubeless operation allows riding with lower tire pressure, less rolling resistance and high puncture protection. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other tubeless tires on the market. The bead of the is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tire. Thus, the assembly is successful with all rims with standard dimensions already at the first inflation and with little liquid.

Wide Trail | The Maxxis Wide Trail construction optimizes the profile layout and tire shape on today's wider rims. The tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellent on all rims with an inner dimension of 30-39 mm.

Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
