Technologies of the Maxxis Forekaster Folding Tire - Dual Compound | EXO | TR | WT

• Dual Compound - Two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. We plan the properties of each compound and their arrangement according to the desired characteristics of the tires. Depending on the tire category, different DualCompounds are used, for example, the dual compounds of gravel and downhill tires differ significantly.
• EXO Protection - This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB and Gravel and some Metro models. It is very tightly woven, but at the same time light and very flexible. Therefore, the performance of the tires remains unchanged convincingly good.
• Tubeless Ready - Tubeless tires on the bike have many advantages. You can ride with less air pressure and thus have better traction, the rolling resistance is lower than with tube, and with a sealant instead of a tube, the risk of punctures decreases very much, because small holes are simply sealed. In MTB tires are driven in competitions almost only TR tires, and also in road cycling the number of users is increasing continuously.
• Wide Trail - The Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the profile layout and tire shape on the wider rims used today.

Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
