RideArmor – Vittoria's Toughest Road Tire
The goal of Vittoria engineers was to develop a tire that can be used all season for training and commuting purposes, on any asphalt and in any weather. The result, with a focus on comfortable handling and excellent road holding, is the versatile RideArmor of the second generation. The Tubeless Ready tire for the toughest road conditions not only impresses with its high reliability and mileage, it also knows how to hold its own against punctures.
And when it comes to puncture resistance, the RideArmor truly lives up to its name. In addition to a multi-layer 100 tpi nylon carcass and a Bead to Bead puncture protection belt that extends across the entire width of the tire, its "armor" consists of additional sidewall layers and reinforced Bead Shield tire beads. The Graphene + Silica rubber compound, already familiar from the top-of-the-range Corsa PRO and Corsa N.Ext road bike models, also ensures greater durability and longevity. In addition, the compound offers maximum grip and comfort not only on dry and wet roads, but also on smooth or rough asphalt.
The slick profile of the RideArmor in turn reduces rolling resistance to enable even higher speeds. Combined with the copper-colored sidewalls, it also ensures a modern appearance that not only looks good on road bikes, but can also adorn gravel, city and commuter bikes thanks to a large selection of tire widths. By the way, from a tire width of 28 mm, the folding tire is also suitable for hookless rims.
Graphene 2.0 | The G2.0 rubber compound surpasses Vittoria's original Graphene technology in every respect. The many years of experience enable a noticeable increase in performance in the areas of speed, grip in wet conditions, durability and puncture resistance.
Graphene + Silica Compound | Vittoria uses its broad knowledge of graphene research gained over the years to achieve a further significant increase in performance for road tires by adding silica. The material is used in the center of the tread and not only provides more grip, but also longer mileage. Compared to conventional tires, the rubber compound also reduces weight, improves rolling characteristics for more speed and even increases puncture resistance.
Nylon Casing | As a resistant synthetic fiber, nylon is traditionally used for strong carcasses that extend the service life of the tire. The threads are thicker than those made of cotton, which is why nylon carcasses have a lower number of threads per inch (tpi). On the other hand, cotton carcasses are more flexible because of their natural fiber basis.
Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
