The Maxxis Metropass AT (all-terrain) is a lightweight, easy rolling, all-around tire designed for modern E-SUV bikes. It delivers full control and comfort on asphalt, gravel, dirt roads, and off road. The Metropass AT utilizes a 60 TPI casing made from 100% recycled nylon via SEAWASTEX® which reduces the CO2 footprint by 49% compared to new nylon.

For all-weather performance, the tire is equipped with Maxxis 4 Season rubber compound, EXO sidewall protection and 3mm thick MaxxProtect insert enhance durability.

City tires must also function safely in rain and slush. As a specialist for all-season tires in the passenger car sector, MAXXIS has also applied this knowledge to bicycle tires and developed a rubber compound for all 4 seasons.

 

MaxxProtect EXO

3mm thick special rubber under the tread is the puncture protection of choice for the Metro series. The EXO fabric insert is particularly suitable for the dangers of urban use. This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB and Gravel and some Metro models. It is very densely woven, yet lightweight and very flexible. The performance of the tires therefore remains convincingly good.

 

E-50 | ECE-R75

E-bikes which support over 25km / h require tires with a special, legal certification, so that they may be installed. At MAXXIS, these tires with this certification are marked with the abbreviation E50.

 

Tubeless Ready (TR)

Tubeless tires provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tire; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube. Maxxis Tubeless Ready (TR) tires provide the benefits of a UST tubeless tire without the weight penalty. Maxxis TR tires use a standard casing and require the use of a liquid sealant in order to make them airtight. Maxxis Tubeless Ready tires are the only Maxxis tires approved for use with liquid sealants. 

Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
