WG11 Rotational

The Rudy Project WG11 Rotational Impact Test is a protocol established by Rudy Project in collaboration with accredited and notified bodies to test and measure the performance of helmets against rotational impact. The Rudy Project WG11 pass/fail criterion is based on the BRIC (Brain Injury Criterion) value, an algorithm that defines the degree of brain injury. This value must be less than 0.68. Several studies have shown that BRIC values for concussions in humans vary from 0.60 when derived directly from animal data to 0.68 when derived directly from college football players.

Triple in Mold Construction

In-mold technology allows the outer polycarbonate shell to be molded directly with expandable polystyrene (EPS) during the injection phase of the shock-absorbing foam. The result is a much stiffer structure that is impact resistant, extremely lightweight and allows for a better ventilation system. The combined action of the EPS structure, the polycarbonate cap and the exoskeleton creates resistance to the mechanical action exerted by an impact and disperses the energy to prevent it from being transferred to the head of the person wearing the helmet.
