The corrugated rim center provides exceptional strength, makes it stiffer and allows the rim to be made wider without additional material.

OohBah

The term OohBah describes Spank's exclusive rim profile, which uses a special design to better dissipate the force flows that occur and thus avoid dents. In addition, the wall can be adjusted at various points to make the rim lighter without sacrificing stability.

Processes to refine the microcrystalline structure - extrusion, forging or tube drawing - can increase the strength of alloys by reducing the grain size. SPANK uses state-of-the-art, proprietary forming methods that further improve grain composition and orientation and reduce grain size well below competitive levels. No other handlebar or rim undergoes the same number of refinement steps as those offered by SPANK. This results in greater strength, resilience and toughness... which means more confidence, comfort and safety.
