The ultra-light DRIFT is the ideal companion for ski tours and projects where you want to have an ice axe with you just in case, but don't use it all the time. It only weighs around 250 g and, at 45 cm, is so compact that it can even be stowed in a rucksack. Edelrid has rounded off all sharp edges to prevent damage. The slightly curved shaft made of anodized aluminium is lightweight and has an ergonomic shape and sandblasted surface, making it comfortable and secure in the hand. The grooves in the lower part provide even more grip. The spike-like tip has an integrated cap to prevent the ingress of snow. The 4 mm steel pick penetrates hard snow and ice with ease and, just like the shovel, is super light thanks to its large recesses.
