More traction than the Receptor and faster than the popular Rambler? That's where the Reaver comes in! In mixed conditions or deeper gravel, the Rambler is more versatile, but when speed is the top priority, the lighter and more durable Reaver is the one to go for. The flat tread design of this all-rounder uses mini diamond lugs to reduce rolling resistance and optimize grip in dusty or loose conditions. The paddle-shaped cross lugs provide extra bite during heavy braking and sprinting, while the closely spaced shoulder lugs ensure consistent lateral support. To improve traction, the lugs also feature slits that allow for more flexible adaptation to the terrain.
In its second generation, the Reaver features the especially for gravel use developed HYPR-X compound which combines experiences from the road bike and MTB segments and impresses with less rolling resistance and more cornering traction. In addition, the tires from the Maxxis gravel lineup are equipped with a more resistant 120 tpi carcass, which significantly improves puncture protection in the tread area. The makeover is rounded off with a subtle, grey
