Citec 3000 S Aero DB - lighter, stiffer & more aerodynamic

The Citec 3000 S Aero DB impresses with further improved aerodynamics and an outstanding price-performance ratio. The 26 mm high, curved aero profile in 21C is now 50 g lighter and offers 20 % more stiffness.

The super-light Concave System high-profile aluminum rim ensures a direct ride feel. The curved profile further reduces air turbulence - for measurably better aerodynamics.

With 20 aerodynamic blade spokes at the front and 21 at the rear, combined with countersunk aluminum nipples, this wheelset offers the best conditions for speed and efficiency.

CITEC Concave System

With the Concave System, CITEC presents a revolutionary rim concept: a specially shaped inner structure enables the production of extremely durable high-profile rims with significantly reduced weight. Supported by close quality controls, the Concave System stands for maximum precision, resilience and pioneering technology - developed for ambitious riders and demanding racing use.

Innovation from tradition

CITEC introduced the first 12-spoke system wheel back in 1994 - a milestone in wheel construction. The development of the revolutionary Power Block system began with the move to the company's own headquarters in Beelitz near Berlin: a patented hub-spoke connection system that has characterized all CITEC system wheels ever since.

ETS (Equal Tension System)

For maximum stiffness and optimum power transmission, CITEC has developed the ETS (Equal Tension System) an innovative spoking system in which the rear wheel has twice as many spokes on the high-load sprocket side as on the opposite side.

This targeted asymmetry achieves uniform spoke tension, which not only increases stability, but also enables the use of lighter hub and rim constructions. The result: a stiff, reliable and at the same time weight-optimized wheel - ideal for demanding riders.
