Down is known for its excellent insulation properties, low weight and small pack size. The only weakness of down is and remains its susceptibility to moisture. When down gets wet, it collapses and loses its insulating properties. This is precisely why the high-quality goose down in the Radical Down hooded jacket has been impregnated with DOWNTEK™. Thanks to the water-repellent DOWNTEK™ treatment, the down retains its loft even when exposed to moisture, keeping you reliably warm. The down also dries faster and can be cleaned in the washing machine without compromising on quality.
The lightweight nylon outer material, which is wind and water repellent, provides additional weather protection. Stretch inserts under the arms improve breathability, temperature regulation and freedom of movement. Elasticated cuffs at the hem and sleeves keep the jacket in place and prevent cold air from entering and heat from escaping. The two pockets on the front and one chest pocket offer storage space for small items and keep your hands warm on the summit. Thanks to its small pack size, the down jacket fits into any rucksack and is always with you on tour.
