The Highpile Jacket is inspired by traditional fleece jackets and offers the superior softness and elasticity of modern high-loftFleece made from recycled material. An exceptionally warm fleece layer with a touch of climbing nostalgia.
The classic design of the Highpile Jacket is inspired by the original Mountain Equipment fleece jackets from the 1970s and 80s. It is reminiscent of the golden age of Himalayan tours, when budgets were small and ambition was high. The Highpile is soft and warm, very stretchy and offers excellent moisture management. This makes it an ideal mid-layer for mountaineers and hikers who want to brave the cold. With its retro look, the Highpile jacket is at home everywhere, from barren mountain huts to everyday life in the valley. The high-pile Fleece is soft, stretchy and comfortable against the skin. It also retains heat effectively and dries quickly. It is made from recycled post-consumer waste. The shoulders and elbows are reinforced with weatherproof Softshell to protect against abrasion - a tribute to the first Fleece styles. Zippered hand pockets keep icy hands warm and the fitted hood provides additional protection against wind and cold.
The Alpine Fit and excellent stretch ensure unrestricted freedom of movement that also works in a layering system. The Highpile jacket is the right choice for cold, demanding conditions on the mountain.
