Prologo T-Gale PAS Saddle - Tirox - black

After years of accompanying the best time trial specialists, Prologo's T-Gale PAS saddle is renewed with a revolutionary design, the result of aerodynamics studies and tests on the track, ready to accompany professionals and demanding cyclists in their time trial challenges. The new T-Gale was designed using CFD aerodynamic simulation software and developed and perfected thanks to valuable feedback from great champions such as Filippo Ganna, Tadej Pogacar, Joshua Tarling, Stefan Küng and Stefan Bissegger.

Anatomical shape

The study of the seating position of the professionals made it possible to analyze the seating area of the saddle used in time trials. This is actually shorter than the entire length of the saddle, which must nevertheless comply with the dimensions prescribed by the UCI. Based on these studies and tests, and in full compliance with UCI regulations, Prologo's revolutionary idea was born: the development of a high-performance time trial saddle with variable padding. This is higher at the top and in the middle area, where the cyclist is actually positioned, and extremely reduced at the rear. The new T-Gale PAS has a 50 mm wide tip and an anatomically shaped middle section that is offset 10 mm to the rear. This solution increases the front contact area of the saddle and allows more freedom of movement during the various phases of the race.

Technologies

In the middle section, the padding tapers to 18 mm up to a cut-out, a "step" at the rear. This is not used by the cyclist and the padding there is drastically reduced to a few millimeters. The cut-out in the padding between the front and rear sections achieved a double objective. On the one hand, the overall weight of the saddle has been reduced and, on the other, the slimmer rear shape directs the airflow from the cyclist's back parallel to the road, thus improving aerodynamics.
The characteristic feature of the PAS model is the wide center channel along the entire saddle, with the two sides being more padded to further increase the cyclist's comfort even when pedaling at maximum effort. To improve the cyclist's stability and increase grip while still ensuring adequate freedom of movement, the Slide Control system with 3D lines positioned only at the tip of the saddle has been used instead of CPC technology.
