The Pace is the fastest all-rounder in the Maxxis range, and a first-class dirt tire as well. The flat micro-knobs not only ensure fast rolling and the necessary control on hard clay soils, but also provide the necessary grip on dustier or softer surfaces.
Features of the Maxxis Pace folding tire
- flat micro-knob profile for fast rolling
- Dual Compound rubber compound
- EXO sidewall protection
- Tubeless Ready (TR)
- bead core made of aramid
Dual Compound | Two different rubber compounds are processed into one tread strip. The characteristics of each compound and their arrangement are determined according to the desired properties of the tire. Different Dual Compounds are used depending on the tire category. For example, the compounds of Gravel and Downhill tires differ considerably.
EXO Protection | This extremely cut- and abrasion-resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB and Gravel models. It is very densely woven, but nevertheless extremely light and flexible to ensure that the tires continue to perform well and convincingly.
Tubeless Ready (TR) | Tubeless tires have many advantages. Riding with less air pressure improves traction and rolling resistance is also lower than with inner tubes. In addition, the risk of punctures is significantly reduced by using a sealant instead of an inner tube, as small holes are immediately sealed again.
Aramid Bead | Bead cores made from aramid fibers are just as safe as those made from metal wire, but weigh around 50 grams less. The material also allows the tire to be folded, making transport easier.
Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
