AGILOMETER is MERIDA's size-specific geometry concept. Instead of simply scaling frame dimensions, selected models let you choose your frame size based on how you want the bike to handle. A shorter reach creates a more agile ride, while a longer reach provides greater stability.
MERIDA classifies its carbon frames from CF2 to CF5. Higher grades use more advanced carbon fibers to reduce weight while maintaining the same proven geometry. In the SCULTURA range, for example, the CF3 frame weighs around 997 g, while the flagship CF5 version comes in at just 861 g. The grading system shows you exactly what's in your frame instead of relying on vague carbon marketing terms like "High Modulus."
During hydroforming, MERIDA uses a high-pressure oil-and-water mixture to shape aluminum tubes inside precision molds, while technoforming relies on a metal core to mechanically form the tubing. MERIDA offers bikes across a wide price range, from around €1,500 for aluminum entry-level models like the SILEX 400 to more than €10,000 for flagship bikes like the REACTO TEAM. Within each model family, different builds often share the same frame platform but vary in frame material, carbon grade, components, and wheelsets. MERIDA offers a lifetime frame warranty against frame breakage for the original owner on many carbon and aluminum frames from the 2015 model year onward. Full-suspension models with 140 mm of travel or more, as well as dirt jump bikes, are covered by shorter warranty periods. Carbon and aluminum rigid forks are backed by a 5-year warranty.
