Product Description:

The Crankbrothers Mallet Trail Lace clip-in shoe is the perfect blend of performance and adventure. Engineered for thrill-seekers, the trail shoes were designed with rugged durability and adventure in mind to keep you confident on and off the trail and comfortable in the saddle for longer rides. A synthetic upper features a classic lace-up closure system complete with lace pocket, perforations to provide airflow and breathability, and a TPU-reinforced toebox for enhanced protection. In addition, a fiber-reinforced shank and an aggressive outsole lug pattern bring pedaling efficiency and all-terrain versatility to every ride. Crankbrothers'  innovative Match System optimizes engagement for any MTB clip-in system, whether that’s Crankbrothers or SPD. It comes with Match shim and Crankbrothers cleat pre-installed in a neutral position, so they are ready to ride with Crankbrothers pedals right out of the box.

Premium Materials & Construction
The premium synthetic upper is constructed from durable, water-resistant materials, and is also perforated for enhanced breathability and ventilation. In addition, a traditional lace closure system complete with lace pocket keeps your foot comfortably secure.

Match Box
Ramped cleat box offers easy pedal entry and mud shedding. The extended 35mm cleat track allows rearward positioning for added control and stability when descending. And, the cleat box depth is carefully chosen to allow for optimal shoe-to-pedal contact, right out of the box.

Match Compound
Mid-friction MC1 rubber compound for easy pedal entry and exit, plus long life.

Match Outsole
The Trail tread pattern is designed for balanced traction on and off the bike, great walkability, and an optimized pedal interface. A stiff fiber-reinforced nylon shank transfers power efficiently, and a low-rebound EVA midsole damps vibration.

Toe Protection
A TPU-reinforced toe box combined with an outsole that wraps the front of the shoe provide critical protection against impacts.
