ax-lightness ULTRA 80C - The aerodynamic flagship for triathlons and time trials

For those who refuse to compromise when chasing every second, the ULTRA 80C is the ideal partner. The 80 mm high profile makes it the most aerodynamically efficient wheelset in the ULTRA series. It unleashes its full potential on flat courses, in triathlons, and in time trials. With a 30 mm outer width and 24 mm inner rim width, it is designed for road tires starting at 25 mm and offers a balanced combination of aero performance and comfort. The total weight is 1590 grams (including tubeless rim tape, ±5%). An outstanding figure for an 80 mm rim profile with carbon spokes. The maximum system weight is 130 kg.

The bulging rim shape was developed in a wind tunnel and ensures controlled handling even in crosswinds, despite the high profile. The 20 carbon blade spokes per wheel, laced in a double-cross pattern, deliver maximum stiffness and direct power transfer. They are lighter and have better aerodynamics than conventional spoke materials and contribute significantly to the overall performance of the wheelset.

The in-house ax-lightness ULTRA CX hubs with ratchet freewheel and ceramic bearings round out the package with minimal rolling resistance and maximum durability. The matte UD finish with black laser-etched decals underscores the consistent commitment to performance.

The weight, including tubeless rim tape, is just 1590 grams (±5%), making the ULTRA 80C the ideal racer, particularly for flat road stages, triathlons, or time trials (TT).
