Light rims are responsible for extremely low acceleration values so that not even the tiniest bit of energy is wasted on uphill climbs; these stable rims with a high spoke tension of 1400 N also ensure maximum stiffness. Thanks to the stress-optimized reinforced spoke holes laminated and reinforced during production no additional drilling is necessary, making weaknesses in structure a thing of the past. This guarantees safe and accurate downhill handling and makes these wheelsets the real kings of the hill, while their profile lets them strut their stuff even on flat surfaces.
By using materials from Formula 1 not freely available on the market and exceptional manufacturing processes, ax.specialists have succeeded in developing the Ultra MTB 29er clincher rim wheelset with the sensationally low weight of only 1305 grams (+/- 5%) per set. Thanks to special lamination techniques the robustness allows for a rider weight of up to an impressive 100 kilograms.
"Form follows function" becomes "form follows flow" with the Ultra MTB wheelsets.
