GRIPTON Compound
The performance of a tire depends largely on the rubber compound used. The development of the GRIPTON rubber compound is based on a completely proprietary formula that is fully under Specialized's control. This new rubber compound offers very low rolling resistance with excellent grip and controllability in all situations, whether it be sudden steering maneuvers, high speeds, or steep lean angles when sprinting or cornering; GRIPTON also offers high reliability in all-round use and in adverse road and weather conditions.

BLACKBELT
BlackBelt provides good puncture protection on the tread without adversely affecting the rolling characteristics. This is ensured by the flexible nylon layer under the tread, which allows the tire to roll easily and smoothly. The nylon layer is doubled for even greater puncture protection. For additional sidewall protection, Blackbelt is combined with the Endurant Casing.
