Details of the Giro Dime FS MIPS helmet for kids

An EPS inner shell, a tough outer shell, riveted fabric anchors and sweat-absorbing padding. In addition to the standard configuration, the Dime™ MIPS® is available with additional features, depending on the area of use. It is also equipped with MIPS® technology for additional protection and the Roc Loc® Vert adjustment system.

The MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) consists of a movable shell inside the helmet that follows the movement of the head (10-15mm) and absorbs any rotational energy in the event of a fall to protect the brain.

With the Fit Kit™ pads, the helmet can be easily and individually adjusted without a fitting system. The pads are supplied with the helmets in various thicknesses. The Velcro connection makes them easy to insert into the helmet.

The hard shell construction is the traditional method of helmet manufacture. Here, the robust outer shell and the foamed EPS inner shell are glued together. ABS plastic is used for the outer shell.
