Hiking in Mallorca: the most beautiful trails on the Balearic island.
It is not without reason that Mallorca is one of the Germans' favorite travel destinations: good infrastructure, pleasant weather, endearing culture and fascinating nature experiences - and all this with only a two-hour flight! Hiking enthusiasts will also find perfect conditions on the Balearic island. Some of the most beautiful trails are presented in the new hiking guide "Mallorca - 27 Hikes" from Conrad Stein Verlag - including tips for hikers with children and dogs.
Together with her family, author Ingrid Retterath has tested (and written down) exactly where there are exciting things for children to discover along the way, in which places it is difficult to get through with a buggy and which path is particularly paw-friendly. Together 27 varied tours have come, which lead hikers to all corners of the island: in the famous Tramuntana mountains, in the center of the island and to the many small bays in the north, east and south of the island. Sometimes it goes to old monasteries and other historic buildings, sometimes unique views of the coast await, sometimes the fascinating mountain world inspires. Experienced unaccompanied hikers will not miss out either. For each tour, there is a detailed information block in which you can find out, for example, which bus goes to the starting point, where nice places to stop for refreshments and beautiful beaches are waiting or which geocaches can be discovered along the way. The detailed maps and GPS tracks for each tour, which can be downloaded free of charge, help with orientation in addition to the exact route description. In addition, the hiking guide provides a lot of interesting information about the special features along the way.
The author: Ingrid Retterath, a lawyer, lives with her family near Cologne and in her free time writes travel guides to European and North African destinations. She has already written a dozen hiking guides on long-distance hiking trails, well-known pilgrimage routes and popular hiking regions for Conrad Stein Verlag. When she is on the road privately, she loves to hike with her children and dogs through her home region, the Eifel.
