The Metron 81 SL Disc is Vision's triathlon and time trial focused wheelset. The wheels are equipped with internal 19mm wide, 81mm deep clincher tubeless ready carbon rims with direct pull bladed spokes, 6 sealed cartridge bearings housed in P.R.A. disc hubs with 6-bolt brake disc mounts, ABS brass nipples, 2 to 1 lacing, CFD / wind tunnel proven aerodynamics, and 100+ pro-podiums since its release. The Wheelset uses a low drag construction. All components are specifically designed to reduce drag. This allows riders to achieve maximum speed with minimum pedaling effort. Reduced distance between the hub flanges, aero spokes and special rim profiles are the key points.
One of the reasons why wheels come out of true is due spoke nipples getting loose. This wheelset has special self-locking nipples to prevent spokes from loosening, assuring wheel trueness and the highest reliability.
With freehub body for Shimano/SRAM 10/11-speed and FSA 11-speed.
