Description of Michelin Latex AirComp C4 Inner Tube (26 inch)

Victory is in the air! The Michelin Latex AirComp is one of the lightest inner tubes available. The natural elasticity of latex actually reduces rolling resistance and makes the tube less prone to punctures. As with any high-performance product, latex tubes require regular maintenance; be sure to check your air pressure before every ride.
Type C4 identifies the inner tubes for 26" tires with a width 47 - 57 mm.

There are three types of valves:
Presta valve: also known as Sclaverand or French valve
Dunlop valve: Woods, Bicycle, English or Dutch valve
Schrader valve: standard or automotive valve

Hervorragend
Nutze die auf 29" MTB vorne Conti X-King und hinten Conti Speed King, beide in der RaceSport-Ausführungen und pumpe bei Trockenheit und Straßeneinsatz auf die maximalen 4,5bar (65psi). Montage ist trotz 29" relativ einfach, nur das auflegen erfordert geschickten Hand und Ellenbogeneinsatz. Zum flicken geht zwar der normale Vulkan-Kleber, aber als Flicken sollt man besser ausgeschnitte Stücke aus alten Latex-Schläuchen nehmen, da verschiedene Materialien trotz Kleber wegen der unterschiedlichen Dehnbarkeit unter Druck nicht dicht harmonisierne. Das sie unplattbar sind ist quatsch... Scherben werden zwar pulverisiert aber es gibt auch Spitze Metallteile wie Nägel u.ä. Wiesen belebter Grillplätze sind voll von sowas, schon oft genug gehabt.

No need to mess with tubeless for XC because latex tubes combine the best of both worlds. And they are easier to patch with butyl tube patch kit than butyl tubes themselves; the glue dries up much faster on latex.

Oh and I run them on my 26" DJ bike too. They are not easier to pinch flat than DH (butyl) tubes that weigh 3x more.
