The Rambler is Maxxis' first true gravel bike tire. It has the volume you need for good comfort and the tread you need for speed and control. The narrow center lugs are beveled to roll well on hard surfaces, and the open side lugs provide predictable cornering in a variety of conditions.
Two different rubber compounds are processed into one tread strip. Maxxis plans the arrangement of the compounds according to the desired properties of the tires.
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of the tire. It is very tightly woven, lightweight and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tyres remains convincingly good.
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures is also reduced. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other "Tubeless Ready" tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that tubeless mounting on all rims with standard dimensions is already successful with the first inflation and with little liquid.
