Greg Minnaar's signature tire is the essence of 30 years of racing experience and the expert knowledge of Maxxis from over 50 years of tire production.
Smooth running uphill, as well as best grip downhill characterize this compound as well as a long life.
Maxxis has upgraded its EXO+ construction. The construction of the new EXO+ is fundamentally different from the previous one.
The new EXO+ construction is built on a 60 TPI carcass coated with a new abrasion-resistant rubber. In the sidewalls there is a now rubberized EXO puncture protection layer and above the bead a short butyl insert has been incorporated.
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures also decreases. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other "Tubeless Ready" tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tire. Thus, tubeless mounting is successful on all rims with standard dimensions already at the first inflation and with little liquid.
Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes tread layout and tire shape on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tires are designed for narrow rims and get too angular a shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 39 mm.
