The rim construction is based on the lightest carbon that can be produced via OCLV process, which in combination with the specially matched profile depth of 37 mm offers ultimate speed and maximum versatility.
The extremely lightweight hubs with the proven internals of the legendary DT Swiss 240s models ensure especially smooth running. In the rear wheel, the Ratchet EXP freewheel system not only ensures a spontaneous response, it also makes the hub lighter, stiffer, more precise, more reliable and easier to maintain.
OCLV (Optimum Compaction Low Void)
OCLV Carbon is Trek's patented process in carbon fiber processing and the result of more than 25 years of bike and component design experience.
The right combination of heat and pressure is the most important step during the manufacturing process (Optimum Compaction). In addition, reducing the voids between the individual carbon fiber layers to a minimum has a positive effect on the strength and robustness of the composite (Low Void).
