Pirelli Cinturato Velo TLR Folding Tire - 28-622 | Reflective

The Pirelli Cinturato™ Velo TLR Reflective offers high comfort and puncture resistance combined in a super lightweight road bike tire.

The innovative rubber compound guarantees super grip and precise handling even in the most difficult road conditions as well as weather conditions. The Armour Tech carcass in turn provides excellent protection against cuts, punctures and everything else you might encounter on the next long tour. These features also make it suitable for light Gravel use.

To improve the riding characteristics as well as the puncture protection even further, the tire can also be operated tubeless, if necessary.

To achieve more safety in night traffic, the sidewall features a highly reflective strip for better visibility.

SmartNET Silica

This patented technology arose from Pirelli's many years of experience in motorsports. Here silica is added by a special and complex process technology of the mixture which results in a higher efficiency as well as performance of the material than it is the case with comparable models.

The result is extremely high grip on wet and dry surfaces, a super low rolling resistance and reduced wear of the tire.

Armour Tech

Another technology from Pirelli's motorsport experience. This goes hand in hand with the SmartNET Silica rubber compound to provide a new level of puncture protection. Aramid fibers are not only placed along the tread as a protective layer to prevent sharp objects from penetrating, but they are also woven into the rubber compound to further increase safety. In addition, a layer of textile fibers protects the entire circumference of the tire and the bead has been optimized for tubeless operation.

Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
