Castelli Body Paint 4.X Speed Suit Men - black 010
The fastest suit for racing against the clock.
YOU WILL THANK THE UCI - If Castelli could, they would keep this suit a trade secret, a competitive advantage for the pro riders. But UCI rules say they have to make the suit commercially available to maintain a level playing field for all teams. So here's the deal. Castelli doesn't want to give away too many of the secret details that make it so fast, but there are a few details you can see:
- amazing fit in the TT position,
- smooth fabrics,
- reduced seams and
- long legs with flat cuffs and flat grip tape to keep them in place.
The long sleeves have a thumb loop to keep them from riding up. There's a window pocket on the back to keep your race number out of the wind - and the window is stretchy and breathable, unlike other models on the market.
Hundreds of hours have gone into the development of this suit. Castelli won't say how many because they haven't even tried to count. They have access to the testing facilities at the Norwegian University of Technology in Trondheim, where the choice of fabrics and the construction of the suit are discussed in detail.
This suit was developed for WorldTour riders. It is optimized for speeds above 45 km/h and for extreme positions. At these speeds and with the right settings, it is the fastest suit they have ever tested. Thank you, UCI.
