Description of Time Xpresso 6 Pedal - White

Time has revolutionized clipless pedal technology and introduces now the Xpresso 6 pedal. This pedal has an even faster, more intuitive engagement without any rubbing, thanks to the Iclic concept with a pre-opening clipless system. The use of a flexible carbon blade instead of the traditional metal spring allows for these pedals to be extremely light. The oversized platform of 700mm² gives the pedals a record surface area/weight factor.

Highlights:
  • pedal body made of composite material
  • with hollow steel axles
  • automatic pre-opening engagement mechanism
  • adjustable Q-Factor of 2.6 mm
  • lateral freedom of 2.5 mm
  • angular freedom of +/- 5°
  • minimal distance between sole and pedal axle
  • iClic Cleat included

Alexander
Rolled with these pedals for about 3000km now. I dig the ease of clipping in, thanks to its carbon plate instead of conventional load spring. However, it gets some getting used to place the shoe (i.e. the cleat) at the right place on the pedal to clip. Float is also nice, espeacially for hard effort races or longer rides, cuz it allows you to twist and move your feet around a bit and get the blood flowing there again. My only concern is sprinting, again because of the float in the pedal vs cleat, where u have to pay attention to not "float around" too much. Overall, I am pleased with these pedals, the weight and price are also good.
