The revised Black Ice has an even purer look. The high-quality, waterproof ripstop nylon protects against moisture with a water column of 10,000 mm. Minimal daisy chains offer a variety of attachment options. A new arrangement of ice axe loops makes it easier to attach ice tools. A zippered pocket accessible from the outside and an inner pocket offer space for smaller items.

The carrying system is minimalist and clearly laid out. A removable foam pad provides additional padding and can be used as a seat mat in a bivouac. The slim and compact shape ensures direct load transfer and a removable hip belt provides more support when carrying. The Black Ice 45 is also equipped with lightweight, padded and removable hip pads.
