The Puez Knit Powertex is designed to provide a smooth roll and long-lasting comfort for short and extended mountain hikes on rugged trails or varied urban terrain. It features an abrasion-resistant knitted nylon and ripstop polyester upper, reinforced with an external toe cap and all-round protective rubber rand, as well as a PFC-free, waterproof and breathable Powertex® membrane and an Alpine Hemp midsole.

The special trekking last, the double EVA midsole with graduated stiffness and softer heel cushioning for an optimized landing and the recycled, adaptable CFF footbed with volume reducer ensure greater comfort and a custom fit.

At the heart of the construction is the new Salewa Edging Plate II integrated into the insole, a special thermoplastic frame that runs the entire length of the shoe and offers a combination of improved flex and rebound for long-lasting hiking comfort with specific stiffness and flex values in the forefoot and heel area for targeted stiffness and increased stability. In addition, the proven Salewa 3F system with Kevlar® cables provides a supportive ankle fit and enveloping midfoot stability. This is further enhanced by the climbing lacing, which runs all the way to the toes.
