Thanks to a better stiffness-to-weight ratio than the previous generation, the new shape of the aero tubes and a lower overall weight, this no-compromise road bike offers explosive acceleration and unyielding pedaling stiffness. The result is race-winning performance in the decisive moments.

Holistic aerodynamics:

All tube shapes were developed and designed using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling and wind tunnel testing. From the truncated elliptical shape of the frame tubes to a new cockpit design and component integration, it all adds up to a slimmer profile that significantly improves aerodynamics compared to the previous generation.

• The patented seatpost offers the perfect balance of low weight, aerodynamic performance and flexibility as well as easy saddle assembly and adjustment.
• Strategically designed profile sections in the frame and fork, developed using CFD and wind tunnel testing, improve aerodynamic efficiency and reduce drag.
• A generously dimensioned down tube and top tube ensure outstanding lateral and torsional stiffness of the front wheel.
• The Advanced SL carbon fork features a symmetrical design and aerodynamic shape, as well as the integration of disc brakes and greater tire clearance for tires up to 33 mm.
• Frame/handlebar/stem have unique cable routing for a sleek, uncluttered appearance
• The oversized bottom bracket area has a fully integrated 86 mm wide profile.
• Symmetrical chainstays provide additional stiffness on the drive side and stability on the non-drive side.

• OverDrive Aero - D-shaped steerer tube and spacers are located in the head tube and offer an extremely aerodynamic, easier to maintain system of internally routed brake and shift cables.
• Compact Road Design Geometry - A sloping top tube creates smaller front and rear triangles for a lighter, stiffer bike.
• PowerCore - The PowerCore bottom bracket shell is another point that contributes to Giant's high frame stiffness. The wide seat of the bottom bracket shells and the good connection to the MegaDrive down tube increase frame stiffness.
