The BIRDLIME 1R is the first synthetic climbing rope made from renewable bio-based raw materials, making it yet another pioneering achievement by EDELRID in terms of responsible climbing equipment. 40% of the rope consists of castor oil-based material, i.e. a raw material made from renewable components. By using this renewable resource, (1R) Edelrid reduces the consumption of fossil raw materials and thus demonstrates that the use of polyamide based on renewable raw materials is also possible in the manufacture of personal protective equipment. With a diameter of 9.8 mm and Thermo Shield treatment, the BIRDLIME is a robust all-round rope for versatile use. Another alternative for all those who attach great importance to responsible equipment.

Features of the Edelrid Birdlime 1R 9.8 mm Climbing Rope

• First synthetic rope on the market that is partly made from renewable raw materials
