Description of Stan's NoTubes Avion Disc Pro 28 Inch Wheelset - Clincher - Disc - FW: 15x100mm | RW: 12x142mm

Offering decreased rolling resistance on paved roads, unbeatable comfort on gravel, and a weight barely over 1500g, the Avion Carbon Disc is the future of performance road wheelsets. The Avion's R Series Bead Socket Technology is designed for tubelessspecific road tires, traditional clincher tires when used with tubes, and wider gravel and cyclocross tires. The 28mm WideRight rim profile of the Avion increases tire volume and decreases pressure, for less rolling resistance, superior traction, and more comfort. Featuring our vibration damping Radial Impact Absorbing Carbon Technology (RiACT) and built around the reliability and quick engagement of our new Neo and Neo Ultimate hubs, the Avion offers performance that doesn't stop when the pavement ends.

Stan's NEO Ultimate brings you 6 pawls with simultaneous engagement, 72-Points of contact and resulting 5° of ultimate engagement. Also they comes with oversized bearings for maximum durability. The angled flanges offers improved spoke alignment and more consistent tension, the cnc-machined hubshell brings lower weigth.

Disc only!

Stan's tubeless yellow tape and valves are already installed.

Customer Reviews
Excellent
Riding a few other, more expensive wheelsets and now Avion Pro.
Simply put, these are my favorite. It's difficult to pin down, but the ride feel aswell as the latteral stifness is perfect but there is some slight slight give vertically adding very good ride feel. Riding Schwalbe S-One tubeless and you got the speed and grip you need for road.
If i bought another bike with disc brakes, i would without hesitation buy a new set of No tubes Avion for that to.
I now prefer tubeless over tubular and clincher. This is the best of both worlds.
Excellent
Bought Avion Pro for my road/gravel/trail bike.
I really like them!
As seen, there is clear facts on tire pressure.
But if users do use "tubeless" tires with a tubeless bead (important!), you inflate the tires over rims max pressure.
Spraying water mixed with washing up liquid or green soap on rim while seating tire. This to make the tires bead easier.
You may go all the way up to the tires max pressure to "bead" tire properly on the rim. When that is happening, the rim makes a popping sound.
When that is done, you pour in sealant.
Ride feel is very good! Looking at the rims construction (RiAct) you'll see that these rims has an all new ideal compared to the rest of the carbon rims available today. All in all, i love these wheels!
