Description of Michelin Wild Enduro Rear GUM-X3D Competition Line - MTB Folding Tire for Rear Wheel - 29x2.40"

The Michelin Wild Enduro was specially developed for soft and mixed terrain, but is also suitable for wet terrain. Co-developed by world’s best enduro riders (Adrien Dailly, Jérome Clementz and Rémy Absalon), the rear tire offers particularly good rolling characteristics with extra grip for safe braking. Tubeless ready!

Grip+
Thanks to GUM-X3D technology and 2-profile-component rubber mixture the tire offers increased grip.

GUM-X3D
Made of three special rubber mixtures. The inner Race rubber layer optimizes power transmission while the outer mixture increases grip and guarantees optimal braking stability. A third compound improves the grip on the tire's shoulders.

Gravity Shield Technology
New construction for more robustness in an engaged Enduro practice with a new 3x33 TPI structure and high density fiber reinforcement for a rear enduro practice.

Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.

Customer Reviews
Update on my previous review
In the end it's not that long lasting, the side walls have some troubles.

Here are some pictures and video of the tyre- after 2months of usage (450km)
https://photos.app.goo.gl/q1r1VUdrkmKpoWUCA The videos and pictures are from the 11th of august, the last picture from 10th of septembar

Contacted michelin with the problem and nothing.. Previously ran Maxxis DHR II, Schwalbe muddy mary, High roller II etc. and not even one tyre lasted as short as the wild enduro.

If they updated the casing (don't mind the weight penalty) and the durability I would by again..until then NO

Hello,

I've been using this tyre for a more then a month (they we're fitted on my new bike), first ride on my local trail and managed to puncture it in two places, ok, took some worms patchet it up and we're off.

Tubeless is easy to mount

Was testing the tyre in two bike parks (really hard surface and alot of rockguardens) and it survived, the tyre didn't lose it's knobs that I was surprised. (I'm a bit heavy on the rear brake and heavy myself .over 110kg)

Just one thing was happening to me, the side walls we're crying my selant Caffélatex
Hervorragend
