Tread & Rubber Compound

Made with innovative SmartNET™ silica and ICS and REA technologies, the Cinturato offers all-around cycling at its best.

Breaker

Under the tread is an aramid fiber band to protect the casing from sharp-edged objects. Aramid is a fiber with high cut and abrasion resistance. Its light weight and flexibility ensure the tire's low rolling resistance and performance.

Bead to bead

A high-density nylon ply belt extends from bead to bead, around the casing and under the tread and aramind breaker. This belt protects against sharp objects and provides stability at low tire pressures. Nylon is a fiber with high cut and abrasion resistance and high tensile strength. The light weight and high density also contribute to the tire being airtight and tubeless ready.

TLR tubeless ready

The special shape of the bead that fits perfectly with tubeless rims, as well as the special material of the bead allow both easy mounting with tube and tubeless setup.

Construction

Built on a 60 tpi carcass, the tread features the Pirelli Functional Groove design and Ideal Contour Shaping technology: the textile carcass is designed to always provide an optimal contact patch, while the different radius of curvature between the tread and the sides allows the controlled deformation of the tire at different speeds and lean angles. In addition, the tread groove design, derived from our experience in motorcycle racing tire construction, ensures optimal water evacuation at different angles and power loads, while maintaining low noise and fast warm-up times for immediate maximum grip.

SmartNET™ Silica

Pirelli SmartNET™ Silica technology offers high rolling efficiency thanks to natural anisotropic alignment that reduces heating while increasing elasticity to minimize energy loss.
Enjoy highly reliable grip on wet roads. The wide surface area of the silica rod molecules increases natural water affinity for confident handling on wet roads.
Puncture resistance and high mileage. Pirelli's SmartNET™ silica compound is composed of microscopic rod-shaped particles that are systematically, rather than chaotically, arranged to create a strong, durable tire.

26-622: Do not fit on rims when the inner rim width is greater than 19C.
28-622: Do not fit on rims when the inner rim width is greater than 20C.
32-622: Do not fit on rims when the inner rim width is greater than 21C.
35-622: Do not fit on rims when the inner rim width is greater than 24C.

Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.
