With its aerodynamic shape, the Beast Components wheelset embodies pure speed on the road. The wheels are built with DT Swiss 240 hubs and Sapim CX-Ray spokes with internal nipples.

Super-light and super-stiff for crazy acceleration. You’ll love every turn of your pedals. The new geometry with modern inner width is optimized for 25mm wide tires and the laminate is designed for maximum stiffness. This has made the rim the embodiment of pure speed on the road. 

The RX40 is in no way inferior to the RR40. Extremely light, enormously stiff and of course just as aerodynamically optimized. The hooked design means there is no longer any restriction in the choice of tyres.

Len Imes, an expert in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) from iXent in Munich and former professor at Stevens Institute of Technology, has subjected the RX40 rim profile to aerodynamic analysis and optimized it using CFD for minimum air resistance in various riding scenarios.

Beast Components - Handmade in Germany

The Beast carbon components are made completely in-house at Black East GmbH in Dresden - this is where bikes are loved and lightweight construction is lived. The company is a spin-off of the Rolls-Royce University Technology Centre of the Technical University of Dresden. Here, scientific standards are the top priority when working with carbon as a material.

With the help of the latest techniques from the automotive industry, aerospace and innovative manufacturing processes, the company aims to significantly improve the quality and suitability for everyday use of racing bikes and mountain bikes. Geometry optimisation in the absolute final stage and service life analysis of fibre-reinforced plastics are the keywords here.
