ABUS PowerDome – the all-rounder of the series
The standard PowerDome is the versatile all-rounder of the series. Floating padding, stitched FlowStraps and the half-ring at the back of your head keep the helmet securely in place, even over uneven ground. It's a great match if you mix road riding with light gravel and don't need the extra features of the other models.
ABUS PowerDome MIPS – added rotational protection
A thin plastic layer sits between the inner padding and shock-absorbing liner. It can move slightly to counteract rotational forces in angled impacts. Compared with the standard model, the helmet uses slightly more material and includes a hook-and-loop pad.
ABUS PowerDome ACE – with an ABUS Race Cap
Technically, the ACE is based on the standard PowerDome but adds the ABUS Race Cap. Worn under the helmet, the cycling cap shields your eyes from low sun, absorbs sweat and completes the race look – practical on long summer rides.

Forced Air Cooling – stay cooler on summer rides
Forced Air Cooling connects the front and rear openings through deep channels in the shock-absorbing core. Air enters through ten inlets, flows across your scalp and exits through seven outlets. The air scoop on top accelerates the airflow and draws warm air out toward the rear. The result is less heat building up under the padding on hot summer rides.
Zoom Ace – fine-tune your fit with one hand
Zoom Ace uses a dial at the back of the head connected to a half-ring that wraps halfway around it. You can adjust the width one-handed while riding and set the ring height in several steps. This lets the helmet sit low for stability without pressing against your neck. A gap in the system leaves room for a ponytail or bun.
In-Mold construction – lightweight and strong
With In-Mold construction, ABUS foams the expanded polystyrene shock-absorbing core directly into the polycarbonate outer shell. The two layers form a permanent bond rather than simply being glued together. This keeps the construction lightweight and strong while allowing for sophisticated ventilation openings.

Which ABUS PowerDome size fits my head circumference?
Measure your head circumference about two centimeters above your eyebrows. S covers 51 to 55 cm, M runs from 54 to 58 cm and L from 57 to 61 cm. If you're between sizes, choose the larger one and fine-tune the fit with the adjustment system.
Is the extra cost of the PowerDome MIPS worth it?
The MIPS layer counteracts rotational forces that can occur in angled impacts. If you often ride in traffic or on loose surfaces, it provides an additional level of protection.
