The series doesn't use a dedicated aero shell. Instead, ABUS focuses on structure, airflow, and fit. Three technologies are key: the foamed-in Acti Cage reinforcement, In-Mold construction, and the fit and adjustment system.
Acti Cage on the ABUS StormChaser
Acti Cage is a foamed-in structural reinforcement built into the EPS. It allows for larger ventilation openings without compromising stability. For you, that means more airflow.
Ventilation and lower edge protection on the StormChaser
Precisely shaped air inlets and outlets direct airflow over your head and carry heat away at the back. ABUS rates the series at 90 out of 100 for ventilation and 50 for aerodynamics. If you spend long hours in the saddle and tend to run hot, this is the helmet for you. On the ACE, a polycarbonate protector around the lower edge also protects the inner material.
Fit and adjustment system on the ABUS StormChaser
Both models use the GameChanger fit with a half-ring at the back of the head. Turn the dial to adjust the fit around your head, then slide the ring to adjust its height. The ACE uses the finely adjustable, height-adjustable Zoom Pro system. The sewn webbing straps have no divider, sit close to your head, and don't flap in the wind. The Front Eyewear Port holds your glasses.
