This wheelset offers you top technologies from Mavic: straight spokes, robust rims with 17 mm jaw width, FTS-L freewheel on the rear wheel and maintenance-friendly industrial bearings ... At a very attractive price, the Aksium enhances any road bike.

Straight spokes provide stability and rigidity, while the versatile and lightweight rims reduce inertia and increase agility. The rims are wide to allow for greater air volume and tires up to 32mm wide.
The ultra-rugged hubs shine with high mileage and reliability. Their QRM bearings set the class standard in terms of smooth running.

Force Transfer System Light

FTS-L - Targeted reinforcement of components critical to power transfer allows for a lighter, stronger hub and lossless power transfer to the rear wheel.

QRM - Industrial bearings of this quality are only available in Mavic hubs. In QRM wheels with double seal (of type 2RS or LLU) and extremely low tolerances.

UB Control - Subsequently over-turned brake flanks provide better braking efficiency and prevent unpleasant brake judder.

Hammer Hardening

H2 - Special work hardening in the critical spoke hole area where stress is highest.

Range of use:

Exclusively on road racing bikes. Any other use, such as on a tandem, cross country bike or mountain bike, is strongly discouraged. This is done at the sole responsibility of the user and will result in immediate voiding of the Mavic warranty.

Care/Maintenance:

Clean with a dry rag; also use soapy water if needed. The use of a high-pressure cleaner is strongly discouraged!
