EVOC’s story began in 1999 with an avalanche accident in Arlberg. Founder Holger Feist, then a professional snowboarder, was injured by the shovel he was carrying in his backpack during the crash. That moment made one thing clear - gear needed to be better. After a bike expedition through Tibet, where standard backpacks failed on the trail, Feist began developing his own solutions. He went on to found EVOC with Bernd Stucke in 2008 - short for “evolutionary concept.” To this day, every product is developed in Munich, from the first sketch to the prototype.
