SRAM Eagle Transmission – Revolutionary Robustness, Simplicity & Durability

The Eagle Transmission has a completely new type of connection to the rear axle and does not require a derailleur hanger or adjustment screws. The Transmission can be mounted directly on UDH compatible frames thanks to the new full-mount design. Any frame that meets the "UDH specification" or has a "hanger-less interface" can be upgraded. The groupset is designed and ready for high power and thus also works especially well on electric mountain bikes. 

Due to the newly conceived full-mount desing, the compatibility of the components with each other also had to be redefined. All parts with the T-Type designation can be combined in a self-contained manner and are not interchangeable with existing Eagle components.  

The installation of the Eagle Transmission is groundbreakingly simple and requires only a few steps and tools. All you need is a T-25 Torx, an 8-millimetre hex, a chain breaker and you're ready to go: Prepare, hang and tighten. The AXS app and setup key will help you and also give you the exact number of Flattop chain links for each individual bike.

The Eagle Transmission is incredibly robust and durable and does not require any tedious fine-tuning. Whether on steep trails, during sprints or on an electric mountain bike, the shifting is always smooth and functional under load. The reasons for this are many and are based on many innovative developments. 

The new derailleur cage appears curved and ensures that there is as little wear as possible because it is always optimally aligned due to the angle. Thanks to the Overload Clutch, the derailleur can move freely and immediately reposition itself perfectly even after a hard impact. Most of the derailleur can be replaced individually should it be necessary with the clever Skid Plates. 

Cassette Mapping describes the interaction between software and hardware when shifting: X-Sync Technology and Retimed Shift Routes ensure that a special shift sequence is used to align with the corresponding cogs during each shift. There is now only one perfect position where the chain can sit. The mapping also works under load because the T-Type components are perfectly matched. The new Flattop chain is another important component of the smooth shifting process. 

If a branch gets stuck in your pulley in the undergrowth, you no longer need to stop. The Magic Wheel ensures that everything runs smoothly, even if something gets caught in it, by allowing the inner wheel to keep turning separately from the outer one.
