Discover SRAM Eagle Transmission Drivetrains and Components at BIKE24

While other brands have been making minor updates, SRAM has radically redefined MTB shifting with the launch of the Eagle Transmission (T-Type) series. Instead of a traditional derailleur hanger, the derailleur mounts directly to the axle with the Full-Mount design. The result: greater stiffness, durability, and precision. Whether you shift electronically with AXS — which communicates by radio — or prefer classic mechanical shifting, SRAM delivers the toughest MTB drivetrain on the market. Eagle Transmission is built for everyone — from racers and trail riders to enduro specialists and e-MTB riders. From the premium XX SL AXS to the robust mechanical Eagle 70, BIKE24 stocks the full SRAM Transmission range for your next MTB adventure.

With SRAM Transmission you get:

  • Stability and precision – Full-Mount design without derailleur hanger, plus a redesigned cage and pulley wheels.
  • Future-proof design – Modular construction makes upgrading or replacing parts simple.
  • Easy setup – Quick installation with no fine-tuning required.
  • Shifting under load – Precise gear changes, even on the steepest climbs.

Highlights and Models in the SRAM Eagle Transmission Lineup

Unlike other brands that reserve innovations for their top-tier groups, SRAM brings the advantages of Transmission to six complete groupsets. At the top are the electronic XX SL and XX AXS for cross-country racing, followed by X0 AXS for enduro and freeride, and the workhorse GX AXS. On the mechanical side, the Eagle 90 and 70 stand out for durability and precise shifting. XX models are built for racing with low weight or integrated power meters, while GX, 90, and 70 are designed for versatility and easier maintenance. So whatever you ride — from XC to enduro — there’s a Transmission drivetrain built for it. All T-Type components are fully cross-compatible.

SRAM T-Type Features: Next Level Trail Tech

The Eagle Transmission lineup takes innovation and quality to a new level with a truly distinctive approach. With its Full-Mount system, SRAM sets a new standard for durability. The Flattop chain, paired with advanced cassette mapping, keeps your shifts crisp and precise — even after thousands of demanding kilometers under load. And thanks to meticulous machining of premium aluminum and carbon parts, SRAM raises the bar for both quality and ease of use.

Full-Mount

The Full-Mount design eliminates the traditional derailleur hanger. Instead, the derailleur bolts directly to the axle. The result is a rock-solid connection between frame and drivetrain — precise, resilient, and built to take the hardest hits.

Cassette Mapping

Innovative cassette mapping defines every shift point with precision. Gear changes stay butter-smooth even under maximum pedaling load — whether you’re grinding up steep climbs or pushing full e-motor power. Every shift — quiet, precise, and reliable.

Overload Clutch

The Overload Clutch gives your derailleur built-in impact protection. On a hit, it disengages the motor drive so the derailleur can move without bending — then automatically re-indexes itself. Shifting stays precise, and your drivetrain stays protected.

FAQ SRAM Transmission

Is an Eagle Transmission drivetrain compatible with my MTB?

You’ll need a frame with the UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) standard. Older frames without UDH are not compatible, but they can still run a classic SRAM Eagle drivetrain. Freehub body and axle width are also decisive: T-Type cassettes fit only on XD freehubs. Axle width determines the right SRAM DUB crankset and chainline. Common sizes are 12x142 mm and 12x148 mm Boost.

Can I combine electronic and mechanical Transmission parts?

Yes — the purely mechanical components of Eagle Transmission 70 and 90 (chain, cassette, crankset, and cage with pulley wheels) also work with electronic Transmission components. But to shift electronically with AXS, you’ll need the GX AXS Transmission Upgrade Kit. This includes the AXS derailleur body, controller, battery, charger, and a new T-Type PowerLock.
